Peter Buckingham
Born and bred in Leicestershire, Peter has worked in Market Harborough for over 25 years, and is now keen to give back to the local community. Interests include rugby, golf and sailing, and of course walking the dog!
Roger Dunton MBE
Roger was a local councillor for over 30 years and is a former Chairman of Harborough District Councillor. He was a local firefighter based in Harborough for 30 years. He is married with three grown up children, all of whom were educated in town. He is a member of the local Lions Club and also works with two other charities.
John Feavyour QPM
John moved to Market Harborough in 1978 and apart from a six-year gap, has lived in the town ever since. His three children grew up in the town making use of sports and leisure clubs which were always run by volunteers, so he is now keen to give something back to his community.
He is a retired senior police officer and works voluntarily for the Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity, Market Harborough & the Bowdens Charity, and Harborough Community Bus. John’s interests include DIY, cycling, walking, and reading about the history of mathematics.
Dr Sarah Hill
Sarah has lived in Market Harborough for many years, her links with the town go back a long way as she went to Robert Smyth School. She has worked in sales and marketing at BT and for an Olso-based management consultancy amongst other things.
She is very active in the town, having been a District Councillor for many years, as well as having been a County Councillor. She is also a member of Lions, helps put on Arts Fresco, was for many years involved with Late Night Shopping and is also a school Governor at Great Bowden School. She is also a Trustee of the Harborough and the Bowdens Charity in Market Harborough.
In her spare time she's got an old tractor to restore, as well as a 1960s Bentley and she is a radio amateur.
Barbara Johnson
Born and educated in Leicestershire, and with a working life mostly spent in education, she was elected as a Harborough District Councillor, with a town ward in Market Harborough, in 2007. Working in the community has been a constant passion in her life. She has been a Trustee of the Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity for some time now. She was elected Chairman of Harborough District Council for a second time in 2023/24. She is President of the Market Harborough branch of the Royal British Legion.
She has no doubt of the importance of charities in communities, having had first-hand experience of grants once provided to support her son. Her interests include arts in general, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Pamela Roberts
Pamela was born and brought up in Market Harborough. She qualified as a town planner and worked for Harborough District Council for several years before moving into consultancy and then the civil service. She has seen the town grow over the years and is keen to ensure that the work of the charity helps to improve life for residents in the area.
